This Life Brought to You by Blood Donors

Dennis Watts

Following a 28-year career in law enforcement, Dennis Watts was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in January 2023.

After receiving numerous transfusions which made it possible for him to get through treatments, he was able to receive a marrow transplant in July 2023.

Dennis and his family are forever grateful for those who stepped up to call of donating blood.

"To my brothers and sisters of police and fire, you never really know when you’ll need blood products — and you’re actually saving another’s life," Dennis said. "Don’t just think about blood donation with (Our Blood Institute), check into Be The Match and be a marrow donor. You may be the only one that matches a person in need. God provided me the greatest family and village that I could have ever asked or prayed for, and out of that village, God gave me new life from a donor. Step up and save someone’s life in the best way possible!"
