Get Your Sticks on Route 66: Donate Blood and Hit the Open Road

It is time to put it into gear and hit the open road. Our Blood Institute is rolling out its April and May donor campaign, inviting you to make a meaningful stop along Route 66 during its centennial celebration by donating blood for patients in local hospitals.

From April 1 through May 31, all successful blood donors will receive a limited-edition Route 66 Centennial-themed T-shirt featuring the slogan “Get Your Sticks on Route 66” as a thank you for showing up when it matters.

Inspired by 100 years of Route 66, this campaign turns blood donation into a journey with purpose. Every donation helps keep hospitals supplied with blood for trauma care, cancer treatments, surgeries and emergencies, making a real difference for patients across our communities.
