    Donor Champions Take the Court

    Share

Make a Clutch Play for Patients

It’s officially game time at Our Blood Institute. From February 1 through March 31, we’re tipping off Donor Champions and inviting you to take the court for patients in local hospitals.

All successful donors will score a limited-edition Donor Champions basketball-themed T-shirt for stepping up when it matters most.

Arkansas donors add a little extra to the celebration with one free ticket to the Museum of Discovery and a free Bundtlet from Nothing Bundt Cakes.

Late winter can put the blood supply in a full-court press, and there’s no offseason for patients who need transfusions.

        Meet Connor

        Connor, family and J-Will

Connor Lloyd was diagnosed with leukemia at just three years old. During his treatment, blood and platelet transfusions played a critical role in helping him regain strength and keep fighting. Today, Connor is a healthy childhood leukemia survivor who loves basketball and proudly cheers on the Oklahoma City Thunder. His story is a reminder that donors truly make a difference for patients and families across our community.
