To call AB positive a rare blood type is an understatement: just 4% of the U.S. have it.

But it's not just rare — it's also incredibly unique! That's because those lucky enough to have AB positive blood can receive blood products from anyone. And that's not all, either. In addition to being a universal recipient, you're also a universal plasma donor.

    Our Recommendation for AB+ Donors

As a universal plasma donor, your plasma is highly valuable for patients of all blood types.

That's why we highly encourage our AB positive donors to give plasma every 28 days, or as often as they're able.

Burn victims, cancer patients and so many others in our communities depend on regular plasma donations — especially from our AB positive donors! — so please consider booking an appointment with us at any one of our 17 donation centers.
