How to Refer a New Blood Donor

Thank you for helping bring new donors to Our Blood Institute. Every day, patients in our local communities depend on blood donors for the lifesaving products they need. By referring someone new, you are helping strengthen the blood supply and support the future of our mission.

Your Personal Referral Code

First, log in to your donor portal account. Once logged in, navigate to the Home tab and scroll down until you find the section titled Donor Referrals.

This section includes your unique referral code, your personalized referral link and your referral count.

Click your referral code to instantly copy it to your clipboard or click Get Referral Link to copy your personalized link. Anyone who visits your link will be taken directly to the donor portal registration page, and your code will be applied automatically when they create their account.

Where Referral Codes Can Be Used

Referral codes can be entered in several places throughout the donation process.

When Creating a New Account
Before or after donating, new donors can enter a referral code right when they register for their donor portal profile.
When Booking an Appointment as a Guest
Prospective donors who haven't created an account yet can still enter a referral code while scheduling a guest appointment.
When Booking an Appointment While Logged In
First-time donors with a portal account can apply a referral code at the time of booking.

Bringing Someone With You?

If you are bringing someone with you to donate and they do not have an appointment, they will be able to enter your referral code when creating their account after their first donation.

Tracking Your Referrals

Curious how your referrals are doing? You can check your progress directly from the referral widget on your donor portal dashboard.

For a full picture of everyone you have referred, the Donor Referrals section on your donor profile shows a complete list of donors who signed up using your code.
